I started this blog as a hobby and found that I love it! I actually get relaxed when I am writing my blog posts. I started with a note pad making jot notes to write blog ideas, or points that pop into my head and other blogs that I liked. It was fine in the beginning. However, as I grew dedicated to my blog and had ideas always popping into my head, that note pad was getting messy and unorganized. I started to brainstorm a new way to stay organized and an easy way to transfer my ideas onto paper.
So, I went into Dollarama to pick up a few things and I always walk through their stationary section… I found this awesome notebook sitting on a shelf! It stood out to me- thank God, or else I wouldn’t have found it- and it had dividers. I liked that it was semi-hard cover, and a nice cover page. There was a folder to store other paper, and then five dividers. I like colour coordinating so, I really loved that each divider was a different colour. Plus, they were plastic so they wouldn’t rip easily!
I found that the tags for each divider could easily be written on with a marker, or a label maker. I wanted to have mine done with a label machine but unfortunately mine broke! I am currently looking at new machines to pick from.
Anyhow, I contemplated what tabs I wanted and how I would use this book to it’s full potential to keep myself and my blog organized! So, I decided that the first section of lined paper that is before the dividers would be for learning notes. These are basically notes I make on programs I am learning to use, or customization notes. For example; photo shop notes- how to crop, brighten or add text to a photo. I also add notes of things to remember, and not to forget.
The following is how I organized my book:
Purple: Daily to do list, sometimes I have a lot to edit or want to write something. This is where I would organize my thoughts and ideas to make sure I make it happen!
Yellow: Monthly blog idea list, this is where I could put themed posts or things that I want to blog about for the month. I find this a good method to stay organized, I can easily look back on posts without waiting for a page to load!
Pink & Blue: I’m still deciding what I want on these two tabs, as time passes I will find something to fill these two sections up-trust me!
Orange: Account information, this is where I keep general information on each of my online accounts. Anything from newsletters and subscriptions, to account names or domains will be put here.
