I thought we could do something fun on the blog to kick off 2016. Since I am sure we all had a busy holiday season and maybe our house tasks fell behind, I thought we could do a challenge to get our house back to being organized.
Here in Ontario our kids go back to school on January 4th, so I thought it would be a perfect time to do some organizing that slacked during the holiday season. I don’t know about you, but sometimes things were put in places they don’t belong because of how busy the holidays are we are always rushing to leave the house, but still want it to be tidy &/or preparing for guests and hiding that last min mess caused &/or opened gifts still needing to put away. There are hundreds of reasons I could list, lol. Also, for those who hosted New Years Parties at home, being so tired to actually put everything back where it belongs and using the extra few days to relax & enjoy with your family.
So who’s in? It will all begin here on the blog on January 4th, 2016.
The first changelle (very simple) will actually be given today so that we are well prepared to jump right into it on January 4th, 2016. The task is go around your home, check all places and take a note pad & pencil with you so that you can write the areas that need to be organized. Even tho I will be selecting areas on the blog as the changelle everyone’s homes are different and everyone might not have that area to do, so this way the area I have picked for a day to do may not apply to you and you can select an area from your list to do.
I have put together a Days & Task List to show you the plan for the challenge of the different areas in our home. This way you can see ahead of time and for those who can only do it on days off/evenings/weekends are able to follow along. I will post the task daily on Twitter & Instagram so please follow me on those social media accounts. I will also post more detail on the task on hand for that day.
January 2016 Challenge (you can find the Days & Tasks list here)
A good idea I thought we could all do is take a before & after picture of the area we are working on and share it with each other, you can share it on Twitter &/or Instagram with Hash Tag #realhousewifeandmomjanuary2016 I think this would encourage others to jump on board or help someone get in the mood to start.
